|INSTRUCTIONS AND ADVICE|
HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF? Remember to be particularly careful when you and your pet are staying in areas with dense undergrowth, particularly close to lakes and coastal regions where there are high humidity levels. Long-armed tops and full-length trousers tucked into socks or boots make it more difficult for ticks to get to the surface of the skin. Remember that itís easier to notice ticks on light-coloured clothing. Ticks seek areas on the body where the skin is thin and there are a lot of blood vessels, such as the hollow of the knee, the groin and armpits. In children, ticks are more likely to attach themselves to the scalp and behind the ears.
Make a habit of checking yourself, your child and/or pet when you have been in the forest or in areas where ticks may be present.
